junglejim
I’m roofing with Sandtoft Rivius clay tiles. I have to run an svp pipe and also a stove flue through the roof (separate parts of the roof and tiles). The roof is 18mm osb/cassettes. Can anyone recommend best way of doing this? thanks
Dave Jones
SVP you can use a tile vent like the one below, just get a good colour match your tile manufacturer will do one. https://www.roofingventilation.co.uk/Sandtoft-Calderdale-Slate-Tile-Vent-RV10K-1 Stove pipe will need doing by a HETAS engineer to b signed off. Thanks. The architect has specified on building control drawings that svp needs to terminate min 900mm vertically above top height of velux which puts it up at ridge level. For reason I’m assuming I will need a through pipe but unsure what would be suitable.
Dave Jones
if you have access to the loft space just use a flexi duct and put the tile vent high up as it will go.
