Planning an update to a 1930s dormer bungalow in Yorkshire

Hello I am planning to discover as much as possible about the challenges of updating a 1930s bungalow to a small but beautifully formed warm and cozy place to live. I might be managing the project but sitting down all the time doesn’t mean much involvement in the practical work so must get OH on board for the jobs that are doable and employ help for the rest. We decided to move in order to downsize and retrofit after using a thermal imaging camera on our current house and guesstimating the cost of remediation.

Currently mired in reading specs of various insulation materials and considering U values.
