DevilDamo
Yes. A new wall would need to achieve a u-value of 0.18. Speak to Superfoil for the exact build up and thicknesses.
vik2001
This could be my only hope if BC allow me to use this to tie in with existing brickwork of the house...
vik2001
Maybe also I didn't make sense. I don't wish to continue with the extension due to all the problems. The wall I want to put up will be permanent and I want to rebuild the wall that was knocked down, and have everything back the way it was. I font want a temp stud wall. The issue I'm facing is BR want the new main wall to reach a value of 0.18. But with deeper cavity I don't think the new brickwork will fit onto the existing footing as they much more narrow. Is the inner leaf OK to sit on the internal floor which is made of concrete? Or any workarounds Edited May 20 by vik2001
DevilDamo
Install a timber framed wall with a brick outer skin… like I said. It achieves the required u-value and the existing foundations are irrelevant.
