Blaine
I attach examples of power cycling of my Samsung ASHP gen 6 12kw . I know it does this when it de-ices in freezing temperatures, but recently the temperatures haven’t dropped below 7° and I didn’t see this last year, does anyone know what might be causing this? Is it a faulty sensor ? My heat loss calculation says 8Kwhr average demand
JohnMo
Is it bouncing on and off a room thermostat? Tell us how your heat pump is configured - buffer, zones etc.
ReedRichards
All heat pumps will cycle when it gets too warm outside. The heat pump will have a minimum electrical power it can draw and if the heat that it generates at this minimum power is more than enough to keep your house warm then the temperature of the water retuning to the heat pump will get too high and the heat pump will shut off for a while.
