Does a soakaway require BC sign off?

I dont want to get ahead of the BC process and i have not started any works on site as yet. Not ready for house foundations.

But i have a little time and access to a 1.5 done digger. So i was wondering, if i practice by digging my 4.5 x 3 metre required soakaway and it ends up acceptable can i fill it with the required plastic crates, backfill and call the job done?

Yes i know it will need an ingress channel.

As long as you follow the distance and water table guidelines start practicing.

 

Take photos along the way, and just don't fall in the hole (yourself or with the digger)

I checked and ours wanted photos only, but had to show a tape measure to prove size. But check with your planning officer they are all different with different expectations.

Its a good excuse to learn to use a mini digger so long as i am not wasting my time with regard to BC.
