TheRunner
Hi All, We had new windows fitted last year and for the past few months they have been covered in condensation every morning, also the bay window all the silicone has gone mouldy and all the plaster is also going damp and wet. After removing all the plaster under the bay I’ve discovered there’s a gap between the bottom of the window upvc frame and the wooden frame of the bay and has water droplets sat in between. Can anyone help with this? Thanks
Onoff
What windows did you have there before, single, double glazed? Have these new windows got trickle vents? Any sign of insulation, expanding foam, (Compriband, even less likely) having been applied around the windows? Can you see daylight through the gaps between frame and walls etc? TheRunner
Hi yes they previously had double glazing before although they were over 20 years old. when we was getting a lot of condensation we had them come out and they put trickle vents in although not really helped. Ive taken the plastic trims off the side of the window frame and can’t really see any foam behind them
