Alex Fossa Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Hi, We are putting our ASHP buffer + hot water cylinder in the garage (attached to the house). Above this is living accommodation so we need to have a minimum of 30 minute fire resistance. It makes sense to put the underfloor heating manifold in here too, so we'd need 6 pairs (12 total) of 16mm MLCP pipe through the 'wall' and seal appropriately. Does anyone have any good suggestions, the builder wants to fireboard + mastic around. Thx Alex
TonyT Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 If space dictates it needs to go there I would build a room around it all to keep it in a heated envelope. Pipes passing through walls should be sleeved and a suitable intumescent sealer will the pipes be beneath the floor?
