dkmonti Posted June 27, 2023 Posted June 27, 2023 can anybody advise i have read that an inner room is not allowed when the access room is a kitchen see doc bulding regs.. this room is on a first floor level on a conversion. will building control allow it ? is this breach of fire risk only door access is via the kitchen no other fire exist the builder built the internal wall on top of a worktop and fitted a door please note i havent carried out the works however these works effect myself as the property is above mine
Temp Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 I think the window also counts as an escape route if its not higher than the first floor.
