Floor Joist and Ducting

Currently working out how to run extraction ducting from a ground floor bathroom that has no exterior wall or window.

 

My problem is the joists run the wrong way, they go left to right but duct will go front to back (if that makes sense) so have to go through at least one so we can vent the bathroom any suggestions?

Would an extractor fan have enough pull to vent the room adequately? it would have to go some 5m then across the loft.

In-line fans do it all the time
