evening all,

 

my name is john, I'm 35, living in surrey with partner and 3 children.

 

I've had some bad experiences with builders and we're in the middle of having an extension built. I'm planning to do as much as possible myself, I'm very technical and have a lot of attention to detail.

 

just wanted to say hello. if there's anything I need to know about how to (and how NOT to) use this forum, please shout.

A couple of pointers:

- add the term "Buildhub" to a Google search to find info on the forum

- if you have a question, drop it in the relevant sub-forum for the quickest reply.

 

As to what not to do, just use your common sense and I'm sure you'll be fine. Plenty of the regulars have no common sense at all and they get by.
