New window to the ensuite

Hi

I am adding an ensuite to which I am thinking of adding a new window. How does this work with respect to permission? Is adding a new window to the new ensuite allowed or will require some sort of prior approval Is there any size restricions or a smaller window will not require approval.? The window will be facing the neighbours house but it will be frosted as it is added to ensuite. Any advice would be highly appreciated.
