fitting angled plinth to kitchen

I saw a kitchen in a Malaga showroom which had an island with the plinth fitted at an angle such that the top of the plinth was flush with the door and the bottom angled inwards to meet the floor where a normal plinth would sit. The effect was amazing as the island looked really sleek and dynamic - not monolithic. I wish I had taken a photo. Has anyone seen this or had experience fitting them this way? Im getting up the courage to ask the kitchen fitter.

cheers
