Advice on installing internal door linings/frames

We are building an oak framed barn and have stud walls/ plaster boarding in place. When is the best time to fit internal linings/ door frames . Any advice/ suggestions welcome .

For door frames, before boarding. Not the end of the world tho. Soon as you can and before skimming / taping.
