Hi Everyone, I'm based in Stockport with the aim of buying a plot in the quiet part of the Lakes ie Duddon Valley. Shhhh, don't tell anyone about it. The biggest challenge of a Lakes self-build appears to be planning permission. I'm in for the long haul

Very nice! It’s actually not that difficult to get the planning, I did it 20 years ago when I knew even less than now. Post as much as you can and I’m sure you’ll get lots of opinions if not useful advice!
