loft conversion

Hi all

 Need some guidance please

i want to convert the loft into room ,mainly for storage but would like it to be safe

A bit worried that Iam using the correct materials and to spec.

is it worth getting plans done ?
would this tell me what thecorrect  materials to use ?
I would like to remove the tresses to make more room

Removing trusses or any timbers in a loft is serious and needs Structural Engineer input.

simply boarding a loft is pretty straight forward, opening up spaces is rarely easy and often very expensive
