wrap around extension or garden space buildings

Hi All,

 

 This is just a consideration at this point because I do not have enough money for extension at the moment - but a girl can dream! however, I spoke to my colleague and he said his one storey extension only cost him less than 10k - is this even possible?? I thought an extension would cost quite a lot of money.

 

Since I have no money for an extension (in my mind it is likely to cost £20k plus - for a wrap around extension/one storey or even a rear or side one storey extension) - I am playing on the idea of a garden room being installed - but there is so much choice out there - I am ideally looking for a space to put in a small gym, as the equipment will be too bulky downstairs and I do not particularly think a treadmill (even running on it) upstairs would be a good idea.

 

Has anyone out there had a gym area/space built in their gardens? either DIY or used a company to install? Any recommendations?
