Evan
Hi Guys, Please excuse my ignorance as i don't no much about building and extensions. We have just had the shell of a kitchen extension built and some internal walls knocked down, spoke to the council regarding electrics and they have stated they need to be installed by someone who can self certify and provide an EIC. When does the EIC get issued? Would it be on 1st fix or 2nd fix or do we need 2? I'm confused, we have the insulation waiting to be installed in the rafters but are essentially on hold now until we get an EIC
markc
The installation Cert is issued on completion of testing. Only one Cert required. you really want the same person or company to complete 1st, 2nd and test or it will be a nightmare of blame and complaints from whoever does it.
