Hi - new member with a bit of a project!

Hi all,

stumbled across the forum when looking for best practice guides on an in depth refurb I'm doing of my first house.

Job wise, run a double glazing business in Thurrock with my brother, which dad started up over 35 years ago.

 

My project - bought an old bungalow built in 1929, solid walls, little to no insulation, everything needs a re-do. New electrics, plumbing, heating, etc.

Also putting a small extension on the rear, which is nearly up to wall plate height as of yesterday

 

Apologies in advance for any how-to, or can I, posts in the near future!

Have you thought of knocking it down and building closer to what you want?

It's a semi, so not sure my neighbour would've been too happy with that
