Sink/shower waste pipe sound insulation?

Is it normal to insulate standard 4 inch waste pipes from sinks/showers/baths that are hidden in joists and cavity spaces in any way? Only against noise.

 

If yes, what do you recommend?

Rockwool sound insulation. 

 

I did fit sound absorbing acoustic, ex recording studio panels in the void behind my Geberit frame. Near silent filling up and the flush is quiet too.

I meant 4cm pipe insulation on sink/shower waste pipes that are within the joists.
