RoseD
Afternoon, I posted late last year to start but can’t seem to find my original post. I’ve used sketch up to show the house as it is now and overlaid the extension plan. Main issue is that there is one small family bathroom which is really out of sync with the size of the house. Red dots indicate the manholes they link under the house - so we’ll have to move the one in the back garden out further. We toyed with the idea of a wrap around extension so coming out and across the front of the existing kitchen - but that would involve taking down a corner of the house which I imagine will add a lot of cost and expertise needed for the build. I was wondering if anyone had any layout ideas that might differ to mine? Particularly where I’ve suggested bedroom 3&4 are merged and a small en-suite added to bedroom 1 - there’s no outside wall access to drainage. There is a chimney breast between bedrooms 3&4 which will have to be removed.
MikeSharp01
Did you chat this through with an architect as it looks like the space could be better used. Do you actually need 4 bedrooms or would three with one master ensuite and a family bathroom be a better option?
RoseD
Hey ? I’m just in the process of finding an architect now to discuss the space. Yes we need 4 bedrooms.
