June 8, 20215 yr Looking to have a Vaillant aroTHERM PLUS air source heat pump and uniTOWER 7kW installed in a well-insulated barn conversion for UFH and DHW. Can anyone confirm that this set up has everything required, as one quote adds a whole load of other stuff including a buffer tank, which I thought was already included in the uniTOWER. The quote was also around 3x the cost of the system on the Wolseley site with £3500 labour so if anyone knows of any good MCS installers on the Surrey/Hants borders then perhaps let me know. https://www.wolseley.co.uk/product/vaillant-arotherm-plus-air-source-heat-pump-and-unitower-7kw/ Thanks.
August 5, 20215 yr The best place to see what bits you need is the schematics: https://www.vaillant.co.uk/downloads/aproducts/renewables-1/arotherm-plus/all-schematics-wiring-notes-1799366.pdf If you have a very simple system (single zone) this has most of what you need, but doesn't include a buffer tank, no. There are still obvisouly various other things that are needed materials-wise to complete an install. Edited August 5, 20215 yr by Dan F
