lift and seal Vs pull handle

My front door will have no overhang or soffit. The door is exposed in an urban setting but facing the predominant wind direction.

 

I understand that doors where you pull the handle up before you lock them are squeezed/sealed to the frame by the action of pulling up the handle.

 

For other style doors, usually with a long vertical bar handle it seems you rely on pulling the door towards yourself before locking.

 

Has anyone experience of the pull handle style in situations similar to mine? Any advice/experiences to share on the list and seal Vs pull handle?

 

I was looking at RK doors specifically.
