Aluminium facia

Hi we’ve just got planning passed to change our conservatory into a more usable garden room, I’ve spoke to a local roofer that specialises in rubber roofs, I asked about the facia as were looking for a nice clean facia matching the anthracite sliders and windows, he offered nailed on upvc in matching colour but with quite a large black capping strip on the top it just isn’t the look I was thinking of.Is there any way you can use aluminium facia with rubber.

Not sure I can help with your quest but:

 

If you search on Youtube videos for EDPM Roof installations you should see how the black flashings form the side edges to stop the rain water from coming off and the drip edge forms a drop so the rain water can run into the gutter. I can't see how these could be replaced with an aliminium flashing and still do the same job.

 

The only thing I can think of is capping over the edge ones.  Personally I wouldn't try the same with the drip edge.
