Parsnip
Hello Everyone Total garden/landscaping novice and so ashamed of what our garden has become, but I am desperate to sort it, although it will need to be done on a budget! Any ideas would be hugely appreciated. The garden is on a slop and was in 3 sections, each 'step down' has I think a breeze block retaining wall, not at quite an angle! This can be seen where the grass stops, but I had removed the other stepped section blocks as we thought we could spread the horrible chips over a wider area but shortly after starting my back gave in so only now just looking at it again. it slopes down quite steeply at the bottom, if we could level somehow that would be good, but wary of putting stress on neighbors fence. We really don't know what to do with this, its horrible looking, really hate the stones but there is so much of them are they best to keep, or cover with something else. We were also troubled with horsetail weeds down there, covered the whole are in Summer so we got someone out to treat the area and has been ok since, but mindful of this coming back. Open to any suggestions, just want it to look nice, possibly sit down there in Summer to get the sun. thanks Nick

SteamyTea
What is the orientation and size? Try glucophate to kill the weeds. Good time to start spraying is now.
