Introduction

Hello,

 

I'm in the process of renovating a late Victorian terraced house in North Cornwall. Where possible, I'm trying to do things using the traditional materials. It's a slow process, particularly as I'm learning while doing.

Is there a story behind the name? We want to know. Hopefully it involves being locked out as a student when drunk after midnight in jimjams, or stuck in a narrow ginnel.

 

My Cornish fish box just arrived from Newlyn, so I'll be trying out some scallops for tea.
