Exterior door frame clearance.

Hi all,

I am about to cut a single brick wall opening, in a garage to take a side door/frame.

I am trying to find what clearance over the frame width to make the opening.

The frame is very parallel  +- 0.5 mm, my thoughts are maybe 5 mm each side 10 mm total.

Any experienced thoughts welcomed.

Quite difficult to cut an opening within 5mm ...., you end up faffing around and trial fits many times.

I would go for 10mm all round as this also gives a descent gap for sealing.
