Changing Plans

Hi, 
Is it possible to change your plans/design once the mortgage offer has been signed and agreed?

The plans which have come with the land we are purchasing are more complicated than they need to be, we are going to simplify the design and in fact make the property more valuable once finished.

Has anyone had experience of doing this?

The mortgage offer would surely have been based upon the valuation  & survey so I’d imagine you’d need to have a survey etc redone.   Ask your lender.
