Hi one and all, Bricklayer who's back on the trowel now after an extended break. I love the site and it's great how helpful people are. I'm hoping to help people where I can but to also learn and relearn as I'm a few years out of the game. I look forward to chatting. Cheers

As we're progressing through BR stage, we've visited a few construction sites of proposed builders, and that was hugely useful. But owners are rarely present. Are there any self-builders here based in Surrey / Berkshire currently in the middle of their proud project who would be willing to do a quick show-around of their site and share a bit of wisdom / vent frustrations etc? Nothing like seeing the real deal not through main contractor's eyes but via the self-building owner's... In turn, once we open our dig up, we'll be happy to pass it forward and receive visits from anyone at an earlier stage...

I have recently been a bit under weather, (ha! just realised what I said there - lucky it wasn't blocks eh?), and in bed, bored out of my mind bumped into this channel He makes videos about a wide range of electrical issues, some practical, others more theoretical. To me he appears to deliver authoritative content. He virtually never responds to comments on the videos he makes, which makes me question just a little bit. My question to anyone who'd like to review his videos is: Is his content worth linking to on BH? https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2uFFhnMKyF82UY2TbXRaNgYT Channel Be warned. The delivery might be thought by some to be soporific. His mother loves him, I'm sure. It's the message that's important, though. What do you think?
