Thanks for the advice ill get onto a structural engineer first just wanted to check

Good morning, I was hoping to gain some knowledge and opinion from more experienced landscapers on our project. we are half way into our landscape project and as we have a digger we had always wanted to cut back the slope (clay base) for a retaining wall. My question is 1: what structural support does the slope provide the above garage and driveway? 2. Ive read not to exceed 3-4ft high when planning the wall, is this correct. thanks james
