Hello I am replacing a lead gutter lining due to age cracks etc I have removed 3 course of slates from the eves upwards, obviously i can refix the unders / first two courses the usual way with nails, but is there a better way to reinstate the third course than strapping each slate?, its a good 20m so a fair few slates to strap if i go down that route, and personally don't think it will look very nice. Also these slates are quite large and heavy! Any pointers / thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
