Hi everyone. I'm in the early stages of planning for an improvement I want to make in the garden. I have an existing garage I wish to knock down, building a small basement before putting a new structure on top. If I plan to dig down 3.5M how far away do I need to be from the neighbours outbuilding? It's a brick structure they use as storage. Am I right in thinking it's 1M + distance down? Is this the case for outbuildings? The basement itself is well away from any lived in property structures.

Stumbled upon this forum while researching a project I want to start commence next year, knocking down the existing garage and putting in a basement and new outbuilding on top.
