Are most brands of the plain P5 chipboard flooring the same quality or are some better than others also are the flooring sheets with the protective coatings worth the extra money as they cost considerably more per sheet

Its on a suspended timber floor, im replacing outer brickwork on bungalow and fitting telescopic vents as the original just had an air brick and no cavity liner, cant see any need for them on concrete floor with ducts leading to suspended floor for ventilation.

What is the minimum thickness / amount of hardcore you should have as sub base for a concrete floor
