  1. Hi guys. Understand this thread stopped a while ago but I'm going through something similar. I'm looking at installing 24 ground-mounted panels in the rear garden of my home, also in the Green Belt and a National Landscape. There is a footpath nearby with views to the garden but its significantly far and the view is filtered by mature trees and vegetation. The panels will sit along a wooded backdrop not proudly in the middle of the garden. Just in case youre wondering Im unable to use the roof due to tall trees with shade most of the year. I've found a few local approvals so its possible but am particularly interested in how you managed the planning process? Did you handle the application yourself, and what supporting documents did the council ask for? Was any formal landscape assessment required, particularly regarding visibility from public footpaths(Its eye wateringly expensive)? Would be really interested to hear how you got permission and whether there were any objections along the way. Thanks!
  2. Hi everyone, just joined after coming across a few really useful discussions on here. I'm currently planning a ground-mounted solar installation at home, with 24 panels and battery storage in the rear garden. I have tall trees around the house so unable to use the roof in case you're wondering. The main challenge is planning permission as we're in the Green Belt and a National Landscape. I've been researching previous applications and trying to understand what's actually required without spending thousands on consultants and surveys. Looking forward to learning from others who've undertaken similar projects and hopefully sharing my own experience as things progress. Cheers!
