    Tarmac no longer exists because tar is no longer made in quantity. Bitumen has been used instead for years and it makes bitmac. The available products are set out in BS EN 13108. This includes the old hot rolled asphalt to BS EN 13108-4 and what used to be called bitmac is now called asphaltic concrete to BS EN 13108-1 AC10.
  2. Spees
    I need to maintain a private driveway used by 7 houses with an asphalt overlay. Should we specify BS EN 13108‑4 hot rolled asphalt or BS EN 13108-1 AC10 close surface course or something else. And would 40mm thickness be right.
