  1. Thanks all will give them a ring cheers
  2. Hi all recently purchased a property with a log burner with insulated flue. Water is somehow getting into the insulation, which is causing a drip in the house at the lowest point behind the log burner. I have been up on a ladder to inspect the flue but can’t see any damage to the flue that would allow water ingress. I have been testing joints with a hose pipe on low flow to see which it could be and I suspect it could be at a 45 degree elbow as the drip appeared inside again after testing that joint but again can’t see anything wrong with it install wise or condition. I also had the cowl changed on the top as it was delaminating and seemed in poor condition but it hasn’t changed the dripping. Any ideas please ? As the only other thing I can think of now is to install a new flue. Costly! See image thanks in advance
