Thanks for this, yes living space where you have it is our ideal as it looks out on to the garden.
I noticed you’ve squeezed in a 4th bedroom too
The garage is just storage at the minute. We have plenty of space out the front of the property for a large shed/out house. So i want the garage to be considered as part of the house to increase space, how would that affect your design ideas?
thanks
thought around moving bathroom was mainly just more privacy rather than being central with every room around it. but maybe i just need to accept if its already in the best space.
hi, I'm looking for some advice on our bungalow layout. I am looking to move the bathroom so its not central to the house....moving it to one of the corners of the house is what I am thinking. any thoughts on how to make this happen would be appreciated.
additionally, fitting a utility somewhere.
any insights/thoughts appreciated
longer term, we are wanting a wider hallway/entrance without walking straight in to the kitchen. and we would want 3 double bedrooms. there is a potential we go in to the attic in the future but is not a necessity right now but that consideration should be taken in to account. and we need to maintain 2 bathrooms.
the kitchen diner is to be a social area, but living space separately we think so it doesnt become too "open"
thanks all for the advice. If we skipped doing anything with the stairs and then looked to build a porch at the front of the house, how potentially would i be able to reconfigure the garage, bedroom 2, kitchen/dining - is that an option - in order to make use of the garage?
the bungalow is gable end (front and back)
Yeah I know the for where you have the living room/dining/kitchen are definitely load bearing.
i would try and phase it ideally so i can potentially get the loft and stairs done as a phase 2…. But I need 3 bedrooms…so thats the dilemma
Hi,
i'm looking for some advice on how we might accommodate going in to the loft of our bungalow please. we're not looking to make wholesale changes to the property but we would like to go in to the attic so just trying to figure out the best place for stairs
any help/thoughts appreciated
thanks
this is an existing property. the garden is a good size and yes goes beyond the back of that conservatory and to the side...
garage is not a necessity so can be reused, in the garage is access to the loft from a pull down ladder.
thanks!
Hi
I'm looking for some help to maximise the floor space of our bungalow, ideally we would like a wider hallway/entrance area and then the inclusion of stairs up to the loft space where we're hoping to add a bedroom
the desire is to have the living/kitchen space at the back of the house overlooking the garden, although not absolutely necessary but would be nice to see the garden from kitchen diner
any advice / thoughts appreciated
