Anyone needing the spare plug for cooling? Perfect time of year, can be a Christmas present, but the size of this thing for what we have to pay in the UK would disappoint. Works well and is genuine from a valiant supplier in Germany
Was over in Germany a few months ago and bought two of the proper plugs. Put into 10kw ecotherm and working well. Strangely not using it at present! If anyone wants to purchase the spare one I am up for reasonable offers.
Just wondering if you have ever sorted the 'heat build pump auto' auto setting or the one below that which is the dhw build pump setting on the main controller. I presume if the pump is slower it will use less energy running for a longer time, be quieter and will also improve scop? Could be wrong but I just reduced mine which was at auto for the to 60%. The manual says default is 65%. Last year scop annual was 3.3 on a 250l valiant cylinder with the 10kw arotherm ASHP.
I was happy with that but my heating was only 3.6 running at 40deg min and 45max. Found less than 40 upstairs bathroom just don't heat as I didn't lay enough ufh pipe when I built the house.
Wonder if lower build pump and run for longer at lower temp would improve the scop for heating
Did anyone ever get a better source for the 0020269259 resistor in the plug? I see some companies in the UK now charging over £400 for this 20p plug. I have talked to vaillant about the disgusting cost of this and my annoyance that I spent a lot of money on their ASHP and tanks etc and makes me wonder if all their equipment is this overpriced, but got no where with them.
I am in Portugal next month was trying to buy there but it comes already in their ASHP as that part number is not in their spares catalogue so it only seems to be in Germany as an accessory but they will not post to UK and to Portugal they want 40 euros postage.
