Hi I want to install 12 panels on a detached house. Options for inverter and lipo4 battery are outside back door in a large porch which is protected from the rain or alternatively in a detached garage. Advantage of garage is that there would be space to add extra batteries later on. However getting mixed messages about whether can have overhead cabling from Solar in the house to the garage above the back gate or if I must dig a trench to cover all cables from the house and back again. The garage is within a few meters of the house. Could I ask if trench definitely required? Thank you
