  1. Hi everyone! I am a newbie and looking for advice regarding lighting for a side passageway which connects our bungalow to a garage/storage room. We are having a new roof over the garage extended over the passageway and removing the polycarbonate which exists. We want something easy to maintain and have been given two suggestions - one is to install down lighting and create a proper plastered/painted ceiling and the other is to install 2 sun tunnels in the passageway. We are totally confused as the passageway provides a lot of light currently especially to the adjoining kitchen and are concerned that if we opted for down lighting it would be too dark during the day. However we do have doors at each end of the passageway and a window. We are also having a privacy window installed in the garage as it is being bricked up. Could anyone help with the pros/cons of sun tunnels as opposed to down lighting please? Many thanks!
