  1. Yeah I have Young kids there's plenty of stuff on stand by. I've only just fitted 6kw solar this summer. It was done by a firm called project solar. My first payment is due now. I'm on a variable tariff. Which means I get paid what the market is paying. They take readings every half hour.
  2. Sorry let me do that again!!
  3. Just a few app meter reading
  4. I Don't think so. Is it possible to fit a meter to the ashp. Any idea of cost
  5. I'm not that clued up. Will the flow temp be whats running around the system. That's around 45. 5 zones all on same setting 19 through day down to 17 through night
  6. My app shows me every half hour what electric is been used. It spikes when ovens are on and when kids have a bath,or we have a shower.
  7. 5 zones all set in winter at 19 through day. Drops to 17 through night 150mm insulation for ufh. I'm not what you mean by flow temp. The water in the system is at 45.
  8. Just to add a point I have set it at 45 from 49. Just seeing if it saves any electricity
  9. To be fair it's only aback up and hardly ever comes on. The house is nearly at a 1000ft in hight. It does get some bad weather
  10. Convinced myself out of what?
  11. I have been doing that. But don't have a opinion with the ovens. We Try to stagga when appliances are on. But to be fair it's the ashp whats taking the power
  12. My pannels mainly cover the cost of my summer electric. Aswell as making me some money through excess electric exported to the grid.
  13. Thanks to everyone who replied to my last posts. (Getting rid of my ashp) Can anyone tell me the cop values of a heat pump in low temperatures say 0 and below. They say my 14kw samsung has a cop well over 3. But I'm not so sure. I found a survey of 17 heat pumps and the average cop in real world testing was just under 2.5!
  14. Standard variable tariff 29p Yes when the heat pump cannot get water to temp immersion kicks in. It's a joules tank. I'm not sure if a buffa tank is built in. But it ment to be a very efficient tank for a ashp. Hot water set at 45°c
  15. And remember it's summer my pannels are working well. I carnt see me exporting any electric in winter when it's-3 and the air source is working hard!
  16. I want to fit batteries. But seem expensive
  17. I suppose if ovens are using that much it does start to look like my air source isn't as bad as I thought. It all depends how long electric will stay high. Probably fitting more solar mybe better solution
  18. The immersion heater was one of the problems. The air source was kicking out and letting the immersion heater take over. And the air souce was in silent mode for too much of the day. But that was all sorted early this year. And it has made a difference. Its all been set up and serviced by joules, they specialise in this thing. They designed and installed it

  20. 2 single ovens. Once on say on. I would say average 2 hours a,day 5x a week
  21. 14kw samsung 2014 model No meter built in!!
  22. Thing is what price will electric be in Jan when it goes up again 50p. Lpg is more stable than mains. It's not gone up like other fossil fuels
  23. No I don't know what my ashp only uses. It's not metered
  24. My total for everything is about 12500. But was around 15000. I've got it down due to house empty 4 days aweek. Wife out to work again after lock down. And set all temps down to 19 from 21. Plus a few issues with ashp. So I would I will be running for all electric between 12000 to 13000 kW a year
  25. Even if lpg gets to a pound a liter it's still cheaper. I'm I getting this all wrong. I think I'm been on the top side at using 36000kw
