Hi All, We are finally in a position to submit our VAT reclaim, we really need the money in to finish off although i am well aware of the hidious backlog in processing dates! However, I have fallen at the 1st hurdle, Question 10 on the VAT431NB form: Is your claim for the fit out and finish of a building shell? YES/NO (if you've answered no to questions 9 or 10 you will not be eligible to claim) Our answer to this question is NO, as we have self built the whole property and not bought the shell from a developer... is there a different form which i need to complete? If not i am very confused what to answer as we want to reclaim the VAT on the stone used for building the shell and windows, doors etc. Any help is much appreciated!

Did you decide on one to buy? I am looking myself at the moment and seen a wagner one at toolstation which is a decent price and much better than my quoted £4000 decorator price (don't get me wrong, i would love to afford this luxury but the budget will not allow!)

I have this same worry, so many of my invoices say 'copy' on them. Hoping an explanation letter and emails from the companies might help them to go through as its a big chunk of our claim.
