I am in the process of replacing a tired old patio with a lawn. I have disposed of the slabs and mortar and I'm left with a couple of inches of hardcore which I don't really want to dig up. My question is; if I put enough topsoil on the hardcore will I be able to successfully create a lawn? How much topsoil? I was thinking two inches?
