Ok. Still loosing pressure and water present in the expansion tank when shreger valve tested. Dont have any high pressure issues apparent as is normal. I think something may have happened in the summer as shower wouldn't get warm one morning an found the system pressure was zero from about 1.3 bar a few days before.

Thanks

Thanks. Is the 15mm elbow ok?.

Good evening. I had the boiler installed last year and have been losing pressure on the heating side without any trace of leaks. Also had two overnight drops in ch water pressure causing the boiler to fail to operate about 4 months ago. I have removed the condensate line tonight to see if it could be a passing valve. Ive noticed i have a 15mm bend to the boiler from 22mm gas supply which i believe may be undersized. The flue also drips as it is not angled correctly . Does anyone have similar issues with this boiler or suggestions. Thanks

Evening all I have permission for balcony over my kitchen extension. Currently i been doing a bit of prep work as it had a flat roof originally but was turned into a pitched and tiled roof at some point in the 70s. I have now removed that as it was not fit for purpose and it looked a diy job. Currently got a 6x5m epdm installed on 18mm osb on 19mm t & g floorbords all in good cond from original build. 9x3 joists at 400 centers. Looking to float a qwickbuild or similar ali structure to support a deck. I have been told that these systems can only support balustrades up to 600mm off ground level without further structural support due to building regs. I dont want to compromise the epdm and don't want to fix the posts to the walls as they just don't look secure. Im happy to inset the post a couple of feet in and loose some space. Any ideas if a a 6x3 or similar timber frame around the deck fixed one end would be acceptable to support the posts.

Thank you both for this.

Viessmann say preheating pre boiler is a no so need a new plan. I am not sure of the benefits of having an unvented tank after the boiler.

Thanks Nick. Plenty to think about there.

On octopus standard rate at the minute, could go for agile with them. Also getting 68p per kw from 2011 tarrif from pv

Cheers Nick. Any idea on tank size and if pre heating for a viessmann 100 is ok. 3 females in the house and dont like to be rushed.

Hi Dave. Just looking for a preheat boost to a new viesmann 100 combi.

Morning Looking for help regarding this. Still paying. Approx £100 per month gas just for showers. Have 2.5kw pv and summer months we seem to have about 80 to 100 kw/ month going back to the grid. Looking for thoughts on tank sizing to maximize savings. Thank you for any advice.

No hot water tank currently, combi only . was considering the diverter to hot water tank. So this would be my best bet?

Hi Looking for a low cost battery option for our 2.5kw system. We will need a 2.4 to 4.8mkw battery to get by and not feed back to the grid. Currently have 2 × 1200 sunnyboy inverters. Any help appreciated With what we need to buy.

Sorted it today. Fitted 40mm offset connector and mcalpine pan connector with 32mm branch on to which i have fitted an aav. Managed to road up from the manhole and cleared a large blockage. Hopefully its sorted, only just moved in in Nov so may have been a n issue for a while. All working fine now.
-
Actually just checked again and it is positive pressure so may be a blockage further down?
-
Dont really want a stack, sorry could i solvent weld an aav onto a swan neck?

Hello Looking for a solution for slow draining toilet and gurgling. Its downstairs with no vent and needs one I think as when i put a hose pipe through the toilet pan connector it solves the issue. The drain runs about 18 feet in total until it tees in with main drain about 7 to 8ft down. Currently it have a swan neck connector as drain only 5" from the wall. I cant seem to find a close fitting connector that i can fit an air inlet valve to. Any thoughts or help will be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Thanks for the info flu.
-
Also do these not conflict with a stat if room temp overshoots
-
I'm not. Just reading up on codensing boilers and they work more efficiently with a great margin.
-
Pity. Theyvwould be more efficient if they could be set for 15 deg
-
Can these self balancing. salus actuators be adjusted so as to increase the flow/return difference to help combi efficiency.
-
Cheers for the info John.
