  1. Hi ColB, It was set to -15 I’ve now changed it to -20 on your advice. Both times this has happened it has been a foggy night, would this affect the heat pump. BTW what is the heat bivalence point, is it the outside temperature?
  2. Think I might start doing this restart more often then, maybe weekly
  3. It’s strange, only happens now and again, last week neither the heating or hot water would come on, no matter what I did on the control panel, it’s as if it was stuck, so I went outside and switched the heat pump off on the wall for 5 minutes then back on and it started working again.
  4. Vaillant VRC 700 thermostat control and Vaillant heat pump control module
  5. Hi, My Vaillant heat pump system is timed to come on during the night, it normally comes on as planned and I wake up with a warm house, this morning the house was cold and my water was not heated. It was -3 outside last night, this is the second time this has happened over the last few months. The unit is reporting no fault, do I need to reset something, also my frost protect delay is 4 hours, I’m not even sure what a frost protect delay is, thanks for any help, Ady
  6. Tbf I was just looking for an answer from my question about heat loss temperatures, so I can work out all my options
  7. Hi, They are both 200 litres, and I am using economy 7, just working out my best options
  8. Hi again, I’m currently having an ASHP installed with a new hot water cylinder which I plan to heat to 50c, the heat loss is 1.22 kW/24hours, so was wondering what the temperature would be after 12 hours. I’d also like to know what the temperature of the water would be with my old cylinder after 12 hours if the heat loss was 3.16kW/24hours, thanks for any help, Ady
  9. So the kWh needed to heat the hot water is just under 9, so does that mean it will use 9 units of electric, thanks, Ady
  10. Hi, First post on here, I wondered if anyone could help me with my question. I’m having a Valliant 5kw ASHP fitted soon and will also have a 200 Litre Valliant cylinder installed for hot water. I was wondering how long it would take to heat the hot water from cold up to 48 c, as I have Economy 7, and was hoping to take advantage of my cheap night rate, thanks for any help, Ady
