A Few Things to Consider When Hiding LED Drivers

Featured Replies

hi all

if you are planning led strip lighting under kitchen cabinets it is worth thinking about where the driver will go before fitting everything.

Try to keep the driver somewhere accessible so you can inspect or replace it without having to remove cabinets or damage the finish. Also check the manufacturer's ventilation requirements and avoid putting it somewhere that can trap too much heat.

Keep the driver and electrical connections away from water and damp areas. Make sure the driver is suitable for the strip and that its output voltage and power rating match the installation.

It is easy to focus on how the lighting will look and forget about maintenance later. A little planning at the start can save a lot of hassle if something stops working.
