Super_Paulie Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Should I be using SBR on this bare cavity wall before I dab on my Wedi boards? The wall is in decent nick as I've repointed a lot of it.
Nickfromwales Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Brush it with a stiff brush, and saturate it with 50/50 SBR/water, at least twice, then brush it with neat an hour before you start boarding. SBR stays quite tacky, but PVA just skins over, so with PVA you need to roller it on neat and lay when it’s tacky; eg a PITA.
