thebeacon Posted Tuesday at 08:12 Posted Tuesday at 08:12 Hello, I’m wanting to tile a porch area of about 1x1.5m. It’s a suspended timber floor in a Victorian house. I have laid a vapour membrane and then 18mm T+G OSB. I’d like to lay some left-over tiles from our bathroom, they are a terrazzo resin tile that measures 600x600mm and 12mm thick. Ideally, we would get the porch floor to the same level as the wood floor and have a flush fit. I read that OSB isn’t suitable to lay tiles onto, and am wondering is a sheet of 6mm No More Ply would be suitable under the tiles? The build-up of the layers be: 12mm tile 6mm NO More Ply 18mm T+G OSB Thanks, Tom
JamesP Posted Tuesday at 09:02 Posted Tuesday at 09:02 (edited) Any cement / sand backer board would be suitable, eg, HardieBacker, Nomoreply. This is an internal porch? Edited Tuesday at 09:03 by JamesP 1
