dontyouworry
Hello, We and our friends bought identical fridges, within a few months from each other. Both produced in the same country. Ours has been making a rattling/grinding sound since day 1, theirs does not make this sound (see: attachments). We used the REW app with the professional loudness mic, measuring C-weighted SPL, and at 1m, there's 3 decibel difference (keeping in mind that indeed 3dB is a doubling of the sound pressure). Samsung sent a technician, who agreed that something seems to be wrong with a compressor. He replaced it and the fridge was perfect for an hour (I could hear it, but it was normal). Then it started making the noise again. Samsung sent another technician and that one says that it's a normal fridge sound. He explains the difference between our and friends' fridges as a different way of routing pipes in a factory, but that it's still a normal operational sound either way. Samsung refuses to do anything now since the opinion of that technician was submitted. My question is whether there is a point in me getting another technician to voice his opinion? I would have to pay for his visit out of my pocket... I can hear the fridge sitting 6 meters away from it and it is bothersome enough that I have to close the door, otherwise I cannot focus. The audio files are: - sound inside the fridge - sound 1m away - sound 1m away of our friends' fridge 1_our_fridge_inside.mp3 2_our_fridge_1m_away.mp3 3_friends_fridge_1m_away.mp3 Edited 11 hours ago by dontyouworry
