Plumber chased out wall for radiator pipes (brick, lime render) - what's the best way filling?

Hi Joe, I thought that myself, but wasn't sure. I'll scrim the duct tape just to be sure, but yeah, I figured the plaster would hopefully bridge over whether it stuck or not, and the expansion would be solved by the fact that 75% of it, being the sides and rear, were essentially open.
