Plumsnson
Hi all I've lifted a lot of pine floorboards and there is a bit too much damage to tongues and ends (some rotten ends) to put them back. I lifted it to address bounce (wedges missing on sleeper wall). I'm insulating between joists with breather membrane + rockwool, then need to choose subfloor decking. Are chipboard or similar panels good? T&G? Can I avoid lots of noggins? I do want to stiffen the floor frame with some herringbone braces while down there. I'm planning UFH on top so expecting to add some rigid foam on top. Also - any advice keeping wedges on the sleeper wall in place forever? It's an uneven brick sleeper with felt DPM and the gaps on some large up to 30mm. I was gonna tap in pairs of hardwood wedges just don't want them to vibrate back out!! Do I wood glue them to the joist, drive a little nail in? Thanks!
